At Semillas, we want to sow the hardest places in the world with the tools of trauma-healing.

John Garland, the founding director, is the pastor of the San Antonio Mennonite Church, a board member of the Interfaith Welcome Coalition, and has been doing refugee hospitality work for years.

​

Dianne Garcia is the Ranchito Coordinator, guiding families who are with us long-term in community life on a 10-acre farm just south of downtown.

​

Leslie Diaz is our Social Worker, who leads therapy sessions for individuals and groups.

​

Our organization is a healing hospitality sister-organization of the Interfaith Welcome Coalition.  All of our funds go toward the sheltering and therapy of asylum-seeking refugees.
